
The Ruby Slipper Catering Company has its roots on a farm in the small town of Oak Bluff, Manitoba where Chef Carolyn Jones grew up watching family and friends gather to celebrate life with food. There was always a big crowd, and there was always a plentiful supply of delicious and nutritious fare. The Ruby Slipper has grown from these roots. Using locally grown, all natural ingredients whenever possible, Chef Carolyn treats her clients as if they were family and friends visiting the old Oak Bluff farm, while adding a contemporary culinary twist.

Now the Barrie area gets its chance to see what this Prairie Princess has to offer. From corporate lunches, elegant dinners or a laid-back barbeque, Carolyn will work with your special tastes and preferences to make a custom menu to delight you and your guests. Carolyn also has the knowledge to address allergy concerns with sumptuous flare.
For food lovers who just don’t seem to have the time or the resources to prepare their own gourmet meals, Ruby Slipper also offers personal chef services. Carolyn will bring her ingredients to you and prepare the meal for your family in the comfort of your home, or leave it for you to serve as if it were your own creation.
Carolyn is an honours graduate of Liaison College and competed in the Ontario Skills Competition for baking. She most recently worked as a chef at the G8 Summit in Huntsville, Ontario and assisted celebrity Texas chefs at the Toronto 2010 Gourmet Food and Wine Show. Ruby Slipper Catering is a proud member of the Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
